Paramotoring

Paramotoring

The latest development in ultra-light aviation, paramotors (also called powered paragliders) combine the easy flying characteristics of the paraglider with the autonomy and range of powered flight. Paramotors are relatively easy to learn to fly, yet being foot launched they do not need an airfield to operate from. They can be flown from an open, flat field with no need to find a hill site facing into wind or even to wait for the wind to blow. They are quickly and easily rigged and de-rigged, and once dismantled can be put in the boot of a car.

We teach paramotoring both for new students and for existing hill launch paraglider pilots. For the first (taster) day we include hire of one of our YX Cruiser paramotors. After the taster day, you must purchase a YX Cruiser if you want to continue. (Because of our desire to maintain the highest safety standards, we regret that we cannot train on other makes of paramotor.) Usually an FLPA endorsement takes three days of training. Please call for details on the training package that will suit you.

As well as training paramotor pilots, we also manufacture our own paramotor: the YX Cruiser. See our information sheet (page 2) and YX Cruiser shop and paramotoring spares page for further details.
