I have been staying in Dorset this week, only managed two days flying because of high winds. The local club have a sitephone which flyers call from the hill and leave messages re the flying conditions, these messages can be picked up from the website or by dialling in .It has been really useful, not sure how easy it would be to set up.

Pennine crew use twitter, add your local pilots to your list and set up the free mobile phone service, text to the designated twitter number and all your followers can see your on the spot weather report. One text get's to everyone.

North Wales used to use 3Jam, but have trouble with anything that involves technology. Turn up at hill with 6/7 pilots, send txt to 3jam, hear 7 ring tones go off. I presume same with anything else.
