Hi All - Over in Turkey working (?) between the laptop/pool and Babadag.
Weather over here is great , but large development over the hills inland prevent any serious XC. However, blundering around under clouds at 6500ft looks over the islands and sea does take some getting bored to :)
Is anyone else out here at the moment?

Hi Adam - Buggers. we head back that night!
Flying great at teh moment. Every day flyable and todat I did a small XC. Up to 8200' form To and off to Buttertfly Valley(scenic tour). Managed to get back into the rock face for a good beating before climbing back up to cloud base. Then went over to the big mountian behind Fethiye, with a couple of other pilots, but wimped out on the glide to Calis where we are staying.
Would have gone for ti if I could see a bomb out fild somewhere in the middle of Fethiye. bumbled around over Fethiye and back over the peninsula to scrape int the lagoon beach.
Another fine day in the office!
Hope you stay goes well. Are you crooning you way through the stay?

Looks like the beers are going down well hey.
Glad your having a good time,shame your coming back when i get out there,cant you just get another flight the week after ha ha.
Sounds like your having some good flying.
Yeah im doing some gigs out there up at Hisaronu,it all helps with the pocket money.
Looking forward to it now even though i cant fly im just looking at it as having a year out and maybe get to know what its like to go on holiday with the family instead ha ha
Enjoy the rest of your time there,say hi to Eros in cloud 9 and tell him i will see him next week.

Hi Adam - I was in the Cloud 9 bar a couple of evenings ago and enjoying a beer whilst watching the last few land at 8.30. They have a web cam feed form tthe newly paved TO, but switch to a video of "interesting" landind videos when TO closes.
Afrter a few bar-side tree landing its shows a pilot almost landing on the pavementment amongst a line of tourists and rolling around on the floor amongst them.
Off cam the helmet and it was our one and only Brian Dillon, who prceeded to point (with video following) to a tourist in fornt of him with a G-string bikini, and blames the distraction for the quality of the landing.
See if you cna get a copy. i am sue Brian would appreciate the addition to his collection...tho he might take the landing bit out :)

Dont remember rolling about on the floor keith, but I do remember the girl in the miniscule thong! I have seen that clip many times, it was taken by my friend Teejai about two or three years ago and has been a regular at "cloud 9" for some time. Say hello to Erros (the waiter with the jokes). Tell him I will see him in October.
