Nice one mate.
We went to the Mynd, was bang on, had a good day, was going to try the Wrekin, but did't think there was enough North in it, will have to try there soon as can see it from end of my road!

Pic no.1 has just solved one of my most annoying equipment issues! Several times I've been in the air and found one of my speedbar brummel hooks has come undone during take-off. After blaming myself the first time for not conecting the hooks, I now make a mental note of checking them before I put on my harness, and just before I take-off, and it's still happened since despite these checks so I know it isn't me forgetting. Thats a neat little solution to use a mini karabina to join the two, thanks Nigel!

Hey Nigel,
What's with the fancy connection between your speed bar Brummell hooks? I guess you must have a story to tell.
My new Gin Sprint glider has given me a bit of grief with the hooks, one of the pairs seems a little loose fitting and has come apart twice. What are the chances of that! Have you had a similar experience? The Brummell hooks on my Firebird Z-one never came apart.
Hi Steve what do you fly?
Cheers
Howard

For those out there that have not seen this website before it is worth having a look as it has some neat ideas.
There is a section on the Brummel Hooks saga of disconecting and how to remedy it plus other useful ideas.
Check it out here:

Howard, if it`s possible to connect something by just pushing it together, then given the right (wrong?) circumstances, it must be possible for the something to disconnect itself.
My instructor told me to connect the speedbar this way, & it`s never given me any problems.
