The forecast for Sunday looks NW/WNW depending which site you look at. Wind speed looks strong in places like Llangollen and Long Mountain so will probaly head back to Aberystwyth and Constitution Hill. Looks like 9Mph WNW all day which should be perfect.

We will be there feom around 10:00 if anyone wants to join us? We will be flying the Tandems if anyone wanst a ride for friends and family.

Thx

Llangollen was working today which was a relief after a couple of below average visits there.

Turned up about 1 and nobody was flying but as soon as I sat down with a butty on it came. At first it was slightly west, flyable but a bit turbulent at launch.

After 2 nice flights Brian and Karen turned up and conditions gradually improved as the wind slowly turned more onto the hill and launch was a lot smoother.

4 flights in all, nearly 2 hours smooth flying and about 700ft ato with no thermals so happy days. Needed a good day after a couple of let downs!!

Some pics and a vid.

Can anyone tell me (The Don) why does the vid lose so much quality when uploaded to youtube???

I can watch it on my laptop fullscreen and the quality is excellent (nearly hd like Mr Donnisons)

Nice one Ray. Looks like Llangollen was the place to be.

Myself and the Don went over to Constitution Hill again in Aberystwyth.

Winds where a notch lighter than forecast again but I managed to squeeze an hour in plus a flight on my Tandem my Andrew as my passenger.

Andrew also got a tandem in to very delighted first timer!

Ray. You wont get good quality with youtube, full stop.
I dont know what format you are using, I bet you are recording to a card though. Either SD or CF. the files are not RAW files to this media and have to be compressed or encoded. When you edit, try to change the container rather than recode the file which will degrade the clip, and then render useing a codec that suits the youtube/web output.
Hope this helps......

Cheers Brian,
Next time we're out playing can you run through this on your computer. Its an area I've never utilised on computers and just need a quick run through as the minute you mention codec my brain goes to mush.
Your a gooden!
See you soon
